Setagaya Goldsmiths Training Tokyo

An on-going training programme for arts practitioners looking at the role of the reflective practitioner. In partnership with the Setagaya Public Theatre, Tokyo.

For the past three years Chrissie has been working with the Setagaya Public Theatre in Tokyo to develop a training programme for artists working in different contexts and in socially engaged projects.  This builds on a previous workshop leader programme that began in 1998 when Chrissie was Senior Asociate at the Royal National Theatre, London.

In 2009 Chrissie has funding from the Daiwa and Sasakawa Foundations to bring a number of Japanese practitoners onan exchange visit to the UK.  Working in partnership with Graeae Theatre and A New Direction.

She is currently working with partners in Tokyo to develop this training into a more formal qualification similar to the Goldsmiths MA in partnership with the Arts University in Tokyo.
